Welcome to the Advisor Boards

If this is your first visit, then keep reading and we'll tell you everything you need to know about the Boards and how to use them. If you have been here before, or know how to use the Discussion Boards, then just use the link above to take you straight there.

Discussion Boards offer:

  • the ability to network with a variety of parents, teachers, and other professionals
  • the opportunity to post and read messages when it is convenient
  • a virtual support group

The first thing you should know is that the ADVISOR Board is a type of Discussion Board. A Discussion Board (known also as discussion group, discussion forum, message board, and online forum) is a general term for any online "bulletin board" where you can leave messages and receive responses in return. All Guidelines must be read before participating in discussion. If you don't feel like participating in "active discussions," that's all right, you can read the Boards anyway.

In order to post to the discussion board, you have to register. You do not have to register simply to read posts. These are the instructions for registration:

  1. Go to http://www.mrrcmedia.org/bb/register.php.
  2. Check the checkbox next to "I have read, and agree to abide by the ADVISOR Discussion Board rules.", then click the button that says "register" below.
  3. Fill out registration form completely. You must provide a valid email address.
  4. You should receive an account activation email at the email address you provided. Follow the instructions in that email.
  5. If you have any problems setting up an account after following this steps, contact a member of our support staff at advisor@childrens.harvard.edu.
  6. After registration, it still has to be approved for security reasons. You will be notified by email when your account is active and ready for use.
